KABUL: The intense, but usual fighting has been erupted as Afghan government officially ordered security forces to go back on the offensive from defense posture after wave of attacks across the country that had fatalities.
In the fresh clash between Afghan forces and the Taliban fighters, three policemen and five Taliban fighters were killed in Kunduz province, officials said on Friday.
The clash occurred in parts of Khanabad district, Hijratullah Akbari, provincial police chief spokesman said.
The Taliban fighters fled the area and the fight lasted for an hour, according to him.
The Taliban group did not comment on the clash yet.
