KABUL: Afghan National Police have discovered and seized 95kg opium during a fresh crackdown in southwestern Nimroz province.
Counter Narcotics Police (CNP) cell carried out an operation in Darwishk village of Kong district, in which discovered and confiscated 95kg opium, said a statement issued by the Ministry of Interior (MoI) on Monday.
According to the statement, the opium was skillfully placed in a corolla model vehicle.
Also in a separate operation, the CNP unit arrested three people on the charge of smuggling 2kg opium and 2kg hashish in Rodat and Deh Bala district of eastern Nangarhar province, the statement added.
