KABUL: Hundreds of families in the central province of Ghor who had to displace from their villages to the provincial capital of Firoz Koh city, voice for peace.
Bibi Koh, a lady who has lost her family’s breadwinner in a Taliban attack on her village, says that she lost all of her properties in the war and is in a ban condition.
She calls on the war parties to come together for peace.
“We are ruined by the Taliban. They came to our village and burned our house. Now, we neither have food, nor place to live. Taliban forced us to feed their fighters. They killed one of my relatives. We have to take care of his orphan children. I call on Taliban to stop killing of human being,” she said.
This is not only Bibi Koh who suffers from the war, but hundreds of thousands of people like her are affected by the four-decade long conflicts.
Anisa Ghayor, member of provincial council, says that several hundreds of women in Ghor have lost their breadwinners (husbands, sons or brothers), but they want peace.
“We call on the Taliban that this is enough. The most suffering people in the war are mothers who have lost their dear sons, but they still want peace. They do not want their third generations be victims of war.”
