KABUL: Governor Abdul Jabbar Taqwa of Capital Kabul tendered resignation from his post, the spokesman of the Independent Directorate of Local Governance (IDLG) said Monday.
“We received a resignation letter from Governor Taqwa,” Tawab Ghorzan told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Confirming his resignation in the letter, Taqwa said: “I cannot work in congested environment anymore.”
Taqwa belongs to Farkhar district of northern Takhar province. He was graduated from police academy and assumed charges as governor of Kabul province in 2012. (PAN)
