KABUL: A car bombing in northern Afghanistan killed one Afghan security service member and wounded eight, police authorities said.
A security forces member was killed in a car bombing that happened on the outskirts of Dehdadi district, said provincial police spokesman, Adelshah Adel. He said the bombing targeted a National Directorate of Security official Mohammad Hashim Ahmadzai who was injured.
He said the wounded security forces had been evacuated to Mazar-e-Sharif government hospital.
No militant group, including the Taliban, claimed responsibility.
Fighting between Afghan security forces and Taliban insurgents have intensified amid ongoing peace talks between the two warring factions in Qatar to end the war.
