KABUL: At least four patients have lost their lives battling the coronavirus in the past 24 hours across the country, the Ministry of Public Health said Saturday.

The total deaths have exceeded 1,462 since the outbreak of the pandemic started in the country months ago.

Seven new infections were also reported, according to the ministry. Afghanistan has 39,297 confirmed cases.

The total recoveries have exceeded 32,842 in the country.
