AT-KABUL: Attorneys came hard on the government for its decision about asking them to take a talent test to prove their capabilities.
Presidential Palace recently urged some 300 staffers of the Attorney General Office (AGO) to take a test to prove their qualification.
Tens of attorneys staged a protest demonstration in Kabul and declined to participate in the talent test.
The protestors said that President Ghani’s legal advisor Ali Muhammad was in the quest to give away their posts to other individuals through nepotism. They accused Ali Muhammad of calling the attorneys illiterate and ignorant.
This came at time that recently the AGO was asked to prepare a list of those attorneys who don’t have sufficient qualifications.
Some of the protestors admitted that they don’t have higher education, but said that they are experienced.
The protestors went to the parliament and urged lawmakers to resolve the issue.
