KABUL: Afghanistan has recorded 213 new positive cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours, bringing the total tally to 43,681 cases throughout the country. The ministry of public health said Tuesday that the cases were recorded off 1,194 suspicious samples.
According the ministry, 53 positive cases were registered in Kabul, 51 in Herat,29 in Takhar, 23 in Nangarhar, 21 in Balkh, 10 in Kandahar, eight in Laghman, eight in Uruzgan, three in Badghis, three in Zabul, two in Farah and one cases in each Kunduz and Wardak provinces.
Six patients have lost their lives to the virus and 24 others were fully recovered during this period of time, the ministry added.
The total recoveries exceeded to 35,160 and the deaths to 1,638 since the outbreak of the pandemic.
