KABUL: Wahid Omar, an adviser for President Ashraf Ghani accuses former intelligence director Rahmatullah Nabil of holding a lot of properties.
Omar said Sunday that he would be ready to change all of his assets with only “five per cent” of Nabil’s properties and one of his houses in Kabul.
Omar’s comments come as a newspaper unveiled last week the names of a number of government officials mostly working in presidential palace that receive extra money for different excuses. Omar’s name was seen in the list published by the Etilaat Roz.
Nabil was not included the disclosed list.
Nabil said on Twitter that “These expenses have happened just at the time that the slogan of ‘we are accountable and we will hold accountable’ are whispered”.
Ghani’s spokesman also reacted to the report, saying it lacked accuracy.
