Daily COVID-19 cases on rise in Afghanistan

321 new infections, 11 deaths reported in one day

KABUL: Afghanistan has recorded 321 new positive cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours, pushing the total tally to 49,273 cases around the country.

11 other patients have lost their lives battling the virus during the same period of time, the Ministry of Public Health said on Sunday.  

These cases come positive from 1,655 suspected samples during the past 24 hours.

The total recoveries exceeded to 38,384 and the deaths stand at 1,971 across the country since the outbreak of the virus started nearly one year ago.
