KABUL: Seven people have lost their lives in different incidents in eastern Laghman and Nangarhar provinces, officials said on Monday.
Two men and a girl have been killed after a rocket landed in their house in Alishang district of Laghman province.
Nine more people of the same family received injuries in the rocket attack that no group has claimed responsibility for.
Provincial Governor Spokesman, Asadullah Dawlatzai confirmed the rocket attack, saying men, women and girls were killed and wounded in the incident.
The wounded people have been evacuated to the provincial hospital, and their health conditions reported stable, according to him.
Laghman was considered as a so-called peaceful province that has gradually now turned into insecurity, where the militants are active in many parts of it, often conducting launch attacks, targeting the Afghan security forces, resulting in civilian casualties.
Separately, four civilians were killed in a traffic accident in Zawi area of Khogyani district of eastern Nangarhar province, security officials said on Monday.
