KABUL: The smuggling of Pakistani goods to Afghanistan has decreased by half in the outgoing fiscal year.
Pakistani officials announced Saturday that the country’s goods had been smuggled to Afghanistan in the previous years under the name of transit which affected bilateral trade.
The smuggling of tea, tire, clothes, textiles and electric products has decreased 50 per cent (80 billion Pakistani rupees) comparing to the similar period of time last year.
Islamabad has repeatedly claimed that its goods are smuggled to Afghanistan which are back imported to Pakistan that affect government’s incomes.
The smuggling of Pakistani goods to Afghanistan cost 168 billion rupees last year under the excuse of transit.
