KABUL: Afghan Ambassador to Qatar, Abdul Hakim Dalili has died of cardiac arrest, officials and his relatives confirmed.
President Ashraf Ghani expressed his extreme sadness about the unfortunate demise of Dalili. He sent his condolences with the deceased ambassador’s family, his office said in a statement on Tuesday.
President Ghani called Abdul Hakim Dalili as a sincere servant of this country who had stupendously represented Afghanistan in Qatar. He termed Dalili’s sad demise a great loss.
The office of the High Council for National Reconciliation has termed Dalili’s demise as a big loss for Afghanistan and the ongoing peace process.
The council spokesman said that Afghanistan’s best diplomat and ambassador Mohammad Hakim Dalili has died of cardiac arrest. Late Dalili had exerted an adequate amount of efforts to advance the peace process with a hope of an Afghanistan with peace and prosperity.
