KABUL: Afghanistan has recorded 76 new positive cases of Coronaviurs where nine patients fighting the pandemic succumbed to the disease in the past 24 hours throughout the country, said Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) on Sunday.
The total tally since the outbreak of the epidemic reached to 53,538 cases in the country.
Ministry said that out of 1,427 suspected samples tested in laboratories in the past 24 hours, 76 were reported positive.
MoPH said that 208 patients have recovered in the past 24 hours.
The patients have recovered exceeded to 43,948 and dead number to 2,288 in the country since the outbreak of the pandemic.
This comes while, MoPH urged people to use mask in crowded gatherings in order to be protected from the second waves of the pandemic.
