AT-KABUL: At least 23 Taliban militants were killed and 24 others wounded in crackdowns carried out by security forces in different parts of the country.
In a press release, the Ministry of interior (MoI) said the Afghan National Police (ANP) in collaboration with the Afghan National Army (ANA) and the National Directorate of Security (NDS) personnel have conducted joint operations against insurgents in different parts of Farah, Herat, Kandahar, Helmand, Ghazni, Jawzjan, Sar-i-Pul, Takhar, Kunduz, Logar and Faryab provinces. Nearly 23 rebels were killed and 24 injured in the military operations.
The ministry added that four Taliban militants were arrested and handed over to judiciaries for further inquiries. A number of weapons and ammunition were recovered in the crackdowns.
