KABUL: Former President Hamid Karzai on Tuesday met with the representatives of a commission assigned to mark 17th anniversary of Uzbeki and Turkmeni languages’ recognition.
Mohammad Younus Nawandish, Former Kabul Mayor who is also a representative of Uzbek ethnicity, presented an icon of the 17th anniversary of marking Uzbeki and Turkmeni languages in appreciation of his services for the country’s languages and supporting for the recognizing of Uzbeki and Turkmeni languages during a Loya Jirga convened to approve the Constitution.
Karzai expressed happiness for meeting the representatives of Uzbek and Turkmen ethnicities and thanked for the icon.
