KABUL: Afghanistan recorded 62 new positive cases of Coronaviurs disease with one person succumbing to the pandemic over the past 24 hours throughout the country, said Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) on Monday.  

The total tally since the outbreak of the epidemic now reaches to 55,121 cases in the country.

The ministry said that out of 2,025 suspected samples tested in their laboratories in the past 24 hours, 62 were reported positive.

The Ministry of Public Health said that 44 patients have recovered in the past 24 hours.

The patients have recovered exceeded to 47,723 and dead number to 2,405 in the country since the outbreak of the pandemic.
