KABUL: At least two people including head of the Central Council of Jamiat-e-Eslah religious organization were killed and eight others wounded in four sticky bomb blasts in Kabul Tuesday morning, officials said.
An Everest model vehicle hit by a magnetic bomb at around 7:35am in Joi Shir area PD 2 of Kabul city, which as result two people were wounded, said a press statement issued by Kabul Police Desk.
The statement said that in a separate mine explosion targeted a FourRunner model vehicle in Saleem Karwan area PD 4 at around 8:30am, which as result two people killed and two others received injuries.
Also another mine blast hit a private Corolla car in Naw Abad area PD 3 at around 10:27, which as result a person received injuries, added statement.
All the wounded people were shifted to hospital for treatment, noted statement.
Separately, two bombs targeted government officials in the provinces of Parwan and Nangarhar on Tuesday. Though the Parwan incident did not have casualties, but one security force was killed and two others injured in the Nangarhar incident that targeted a police vehicle in the provincial capital of Jalalabad city.
The fourth incident in Kabul took place Tuesday afternoon in the Rahman Mina neighborhood Police District 8. A magnetic bomb hit a vehicle in which two people were wounded, according to a security source in the capital.
In a statement issued by Presidential Palace, President Ghani strongly condemned the terrorist attacks, said that attack over religious leader and every Afghan is an attack against bright future of Afghanistan.
The president said the Taliban must know that the group won’t reach to the ugly goal of their masters through terror and violence as well as they can deny the responsibility from such crimes.
It is pertained to mention that the increased cases of violence and targeted killings of Afghans particularly civilians have concerned the European Union, who called for immediate stop of the “killings of Afghans”.
