KABUL: Former President Hamid Karzai on Tuesday met with the community leaders and members of the Kabul provincial council.

The meeting discussed the ongoing situation and progress in the peace process, with the elders and provincial council members emphasizing the national unity and peace as a must.

“Peace is life and peace is dignity,” Karzai addressed them, calling on the people to educate their children to pave the ground for a developed society.

“Definitely we, the people of Afghanistan have the right to live in a developed society which is possible through the efforts of educated youth including boys and girls,” the former president added.
