KABUL: An employee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) was killed in a roadside bomb blast in Macroyan of Kabul city on Tuesday, security officials said.
The incident happened when a mine hit a land cruiser type of vehicle of the ministry at 9:20 am local time on Tuesday morning.
Taliban are responsible for increasing violence, carrying bomb blasts and targeted-killings, said a statement issued by the foreign ministry.
No group immediately claimed responsibility for the blast.
Recently, Kabul city witnessed magnetic bomb blasts, targeted-killings, in which a number of people were killed and wounded. Only on Monday, three bomb blasts hit Kabul city, killing a man and wounded four others.
The government has repeatedly blamed Taliban for having hand in such attacks and targeted-killings, something the Taliban have rejected rather termed it the work of the Kabul government to sabotage the peace process.
