KABUL: Two people have lost their lives in two blasts that occurred in Kabul, the capital city and in eastern Nangarhar province on Saturday morning, officials confirmed. Three more people received injuries in the blasts.
The first blast as a result of a sticky bomb attached to a vehicle went off in Bagrami district of Kabul, in which one person was killed and two others were wounded. The blast happened at around 09:00am Saturday morning.
Meanwhile, Abdul Qahar Qadir, a member of the provincial council in Nangarhar has received injuries in an explosion that targeted his vehicle in Jalalabad, the capital city of eastern Nangarhar province.
The blasts come amidst a share increase in targeted-killings, including attacks on judges, reporters, doctors, civil society workers, government employees, where mainly these attacks have happened in Kabul.
