AT Monitoring Desk: KABUL: Two groups of militants belonging to the Taliban and Hezb-i-Islami exchanged fires with in Maidan Wardak province, leaving Taliban’s designated spy chief for Narkh district dead.
A statement issued by Maidan Wardak Media and Information Center on Wednesday said that the incident took place in Karimdad area of Narkh district on Tuesday night.
Reason behind the clash has not been identified yet.
According to the source, two Taliban insurgents were killed in a military operation carried out by security forces in Tukrak area of Narkh the other night.
The source said three AK47 and three transmission sets belonging to the insurgents killed were seized by the security forces.
Security forces and civilians have not suffered casualties during the operation, the source added.
