AT-KABUL: At least 13 armed Taliban fighters were killed and eight others wounded in different crackdowns within past 24 hours.
In a press release issued here, Ministry of Interior said that Afghan National Police (ANP) in collaboration with Afghan National Army (ANA) and National Directorate of Security (NDS) has conducted joint operations against insurgents in different areas of Takhar, Kunduz, Sar-e-Pul, Maidan Wardak, Farah and Helmand provinces. In these operations 13 rebels were eliminated and eight others injured.
Four insurgents were also arrested and handed over to the relevant judicial body for further inquiry. ANP recovered huge cache of weapons and ammunition in the operations as well, the ministry claimed.
