KABUL: The Afghan security forces have arrested two people on the charges of assisting with the Taliban group in Qarabagh district of capital Kabul, interior ministry said Saturday.
The perpetrators were arrested in the operations conducted by the Police Special Forces, the ministry said, adding that some weapons and ammunition including two rounds of AK-47 were seized.
This comes as Kabul has recently been hit with a rise in targeted-killings of hit-and-run assassinations. The Taliban have also intensified violence in many parts of the country, inflicting causalities on the security forces and civilians.
