According to national and international findings around one million children are affected by drugs, seven children out of each 10 are under violence risk, 48 percent are affected by earlier marriages, 77 percent are at risk of being beaten, 36 percent are malnutrition and 196,000 children are with disabilities throughout. He stated that only 60,000 orphans are in Kabul capital. In order to support vulnerable children, based on President Instruction, support of children project funds increased from 20 million to 52 million Afs recently.Around 10,000 children were covered through Child Protection Action Network CPAN programs, he noted.Government is committed to support and protect children, but only the government alone will fail to overcome the issue. It is required of related international organs to help the government in the aspect for further achievement, he said.He also called on people to support the ministry in this regard. It is worth mentioning that despite billions of dollars showered in Afghanistan in the past years, still a high number of children are vulnerable across the country. Today’s children are the future of the country, so the relevant national and international organs must pay attention to protect and decrease challenges ahead of them.
