AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: Flash floods have killed at least seven people and injured five others in northern Baghlan province the other day, said an official source in the province on Tuesday.
The provincial director of Afghanistan Natural Disaster Management Authority (ANDMA), Ahmad Nasir Kohzad said that the dead people include four women and two children.
He added that around ten persons are still missing.
Flash floods hit Kart-e-Itefaq area of Pul-e-Khumri, the capital city of the province on Monday.
According to Pajhwok, the flood affected families spent the other night without any shelter under open sky. The affected families urged the government to provide them aid.
The news agency quoted Emergency Response Committee Director Abdul Qadim Naizi as saying that the organization has arranged food for 2,000 affected families.
