AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: The US and Indian officials met in New Delhi the other day to hold high level consultations on Afghanistan.
According to a statement by the US embassy in India, the consultations were made during the US Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan Dan Feldman’s visit in New Delhi.
The statement added that Mr. Feldman met Ajit Doval, Mr. Jaishankar and other Indian government counterparts in New Delhi earlier on Tuesday.
The meeting came in the wake of President Barack Obama’s visit in January, according to the statement by the US embassy.
The source also said that both the sides discussed the outcome of President Ashraf Ghani and CEO Abdullah Abdullah’s visit to Washington and discussed how best to support a sustainable, inclusive, sovereign, and democratic political order in Afghanistan.
