KABUL: The Ministry of Public Health recorded 1,122 new coronavirus cases and 49 deaths across the country within the past 24 hours.

The new cases were reported positive out of 3,226 suspected samples tested in different laboratories during the same period of time.

According to the Health Ministry, another 717 patients have fully recovered in the last 24 hours.

The total number of the cases reached to 140,224 with 86,963 recoveries and 6,098 deaths.
