By Akhtar M.Nikzad-KABUL: Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) vowed that within the next two weeks all health challenges in the governmental and private hospitals would be improved and people will not face with urgent health services in the hospitals.
Nonstandard of health services in the governmental and private hospitals, importing of poor quality drugs in the markets and not being standard emergency operation ward in the health centers are the main problem that faced by people.
Minister of MoPH, Ferozudding Feroz, in an interview with Afghanistan Times, said that majority of governmental and private hospitals provide nonstandard health services to public.
He said that based on finding of recent evaluations by observation teams, majority of private hospitals are not standard and their health services are not acceptable for MoPH.
He stressed that in the evaluations the observations team also found that some private hospitals even though have not work license.
However Ferozuddin did not mention any name of the substandard hospitals but he vowed that within the next two weeks the public health ministry would solve the problems in the all private hospitals.
“Unfortunately our private hospitals do not provide standard services for people, actually the private hospitals have grew like mushroom. So far around 50 companies import drug would be blacklisted and more than 50 private hospitals would decrease to clinics and some license of private hospitals would be taken back. Our observations will continue to the other province of the country,” he mentioned.
It comes at the time when people always complain about substandard of health services and poor quality of imported drugs and due to shortage of standard health services people usually preferred foraging countries for treatment of their patients.
Ministry of Public Health promised that within four weeks some governmental hospitals would be equipped with modern equipments, but the ministry termed the inadequate budget its mean challenge.
Ahmad Fahim who has been gone to Pakistan for treatment claimed that Wolesi Jirga- Lower House of Parliament role is very significant for observing of ministers.
He said MPs have not observations over governmental hospitals and stressed that due to lack of standard health services in the hospitals, MPs take their patient to the foreign countries for treatment and the issue creates too much problem.
