AT-Kabul: Four persons were killed and 12 others all civilians wounded when a suicide bomber rammed his explosive-laden car into foreign forces’ convoy in Jalalabad city, the capital of eastern Nangarhar province, on Friday, a security official said.
Hazrat Husain Mashriqiwal, spokesman for Police told Afghanistan Times the attack was carried out through a Corolla car at around 10: 00 am on foreign troops, near to Jalalabad airport that housing foreign troops.
Dr. Najibullah Kamawal, director Nangarhar Civil Hospital, confirmed receiving four dead bodies and 12 wounded. He said three of wounded were in critical condition, however two children were among killed and wounded persons.
Claiming credit for the attack, Taliban spokesman, Zabihullah Mujahid, said that two armored vehicles were completely damaged and all onboard were killed.
Soon after the incident, President Ashraf Ghani condemned the blast in strongest possible words and said: “It was the handiwork of anti-Islam and Afghans enemy,” a statement from the Presidential Palace said.
