KABUL: Chinese President Xi Jinping has called on the Chinese military leadership to strengthen its solidarity with the Communist Party, warning of a potential armed conflict and security concerns on the border with Afghanistan.
Chinese President Xi Jinping said that the country should be ready for a potential military challenge at the same time as the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan by September this year.
He made the remarks about strengthening China’s military forces ahead of the 94th anniversary of the formation of the People’s Liberation Army of China.
President Jinping and Foreign Minister Wang Yi recently said that the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan could provide a base for terrorist operations for secession of the Uyghur Taliban in Xinjiang province China.
A few days ago, Mohammad Naeem, a spokesman for the Taliban in Qatar, tweeted that the delegation had traveled to China last week on Tuesday at the official invitation of China. He stressed that the group had assured China that Afghan territory would not be used against the security of any country.
