KABUL: A government team visited Islamabad to probe the abduction of the Afghan ambassador’s daughter, Silsila Alikhil, who was earlier kidnapped and torture in Islamabad of Pakistan.
Foreign ministry spokesman, Gran Hewad said the Afghan government fact-finding team has arrived in Pakistan, but did not provide further details about formation of the delegation.
This comes as a week back, Pakistan ambassador to Afghanistan, Mansoor Ahmad Khan informed about the Afghan government delegation trip to Pakistan.
Earlier, officials said that Silsila Alikhil daughter of Najibullah Alikhl, the Afghan ambassador to Islamabad was kidnapped and severely tortured by unknown assailants in Islamabad, the capital city of Pakistan.
The Afghan foreign ministry lodged a complaint over the incident and called back its ambassador and other diplomats from Pakistan.
This comes as prime minister Imran Khan told Afghan journalists that three drivers were arrested in whose car Silsila was travelling after checking the city cameras and photos.
Khan said that he would share photos and witnesses with the Afghan probe team.
The abduction of the Afghan envoy daughter faced strong reactions across Afghanistan and the world.
Pakistan has left no stone unturned to harm Afghanistan in any possible way, Pakistan is behind the recent insecurity in Afghanistan, it has always supported anti-Afghan state elements since its creation as an independent state.
