KABUL: Former President Hamid Karzai strongly condemned the assassination of Dawa Khan Menapal, head of the government media and information center.
“I was sadly aware that head of the government media and Information center, Dawa Khan Menapal was martyred as a result of a terrorist attack- which has been claimed by the Taliban,” office of the Former President quoted him in a statement.
Karzai offered his condolences and sympathies to family of Menapal and wished him paradise.
Director of government’s media and information center was assassinated by the Taliban in Kabul – in the latest in a string of attacks against senior Afghan officials in the wake of increased air strikes by Afghan forces.
