KABUL: The Central Asian countries denied to accept the Afghan refugees who intend to flee the country in the wake of the collapse of the government of President Ashraf Ghani.
A Russian dominated Central Asian States Security Pact in a statement said that the decision was held during a security meeting of the member nations held in Tajikistan.
However, Uzbekistan pledged to provide temporary shelter for the Afghan refugees.
After the government of former President Ashraf Ghani collapsed to the Islamic Movement of Taliban, hundreds of Afghan military personnel escaped the country and sought protection in the neighboring countries located in north of Afghanistan.
