KABUL: A blast targeting the Taliban vehicle killed one child and wounded two others in Jalalabad, the capital city of the eastern Nangarhar province.
Deputy spokesman of the Taliban, Bilal Karimi said that the blast took place in PD 5 of Jalalabad. The wounded include one Taliban fighter and one civilian.
Earlier, over 20 people were killed and wounded in three consecutive blasts occurred in Jalalabad. A magnetic bombing wounded two people in the west of capital Kabul on Saturday, according to reports.
Afghanistan had seen a significant reduction in security incidents but the new range of blasts occurred in Jalalabad and Kabul create high concerns among the citizens over triggering of a new wave of violence in the war-torn country.
