KABUL: Former President Hamid Karzai, who spoke on Sunday at the International Webinar of Ulema of the Islamic World, said that Afghanistan is far from stability and security.
Referring to the recent attacks by Daesh terror group in the country, Karzai said the difficult situation in Afghanistan and the recent terrorist incidents indicate that we are still a long way from establishing lasting peace and strengthening security and stability.
The recent attacks in Kunduz, Kandahar, Kabul, and Nangarhar provinces are a conspiracy against Afghanistan to perpetuate instability, he added.
Islamic clerics across globe call for inclusive government in Afghanistan.
“The ISKP is an imported phenomenon that is in no way compatible with the religion, history, and culture of Afghanistan,” he added.
Hamid Karzai has pointed out that extremism has pervaded Islamic society, adding that some seek to portray religion as a cause of hypocrisy, hostility, and murder.
However, he called on the international community to work with the Afghan people for global security. Otherwise, according to him, there will be irreparable damage to Afghanistan, regional countries, and the world.
The International Webinar of the Ulema of the Islamic World on the study of new changes in Afghanistan has been organized by Tebyan Cultural Institute with the participation of ulema, elites, and experts from the region.
The conference was held on the criteria for forming an inclusive, Islamic government and gaining international legitimacy.
