KABUL: Former President Hamid Karzai in a greeting message of the year 1401, called on the Afghan citizens to send their daughters and sons to schools and wished for incentivizing unity among the Afghans.

I wish the “new year bring an enduring peace and stability for all people of Afghanistan and it (peace) be incentivized under the umbrella of national unity,” Karzai was quoted in a statement released by his office. “With the start of the new year, the doors of schools all-over Afghanistan are opened, I call on the parents to send their daughters and sons to schools, thus, we can develop our country through education and knowledge.” Nawroz, the first day of the solar calendar is being celebrated in at least 13 Asian Nations.
