KABUL: The decision of the Ministry of Higher Education– to allot three days per week for boys students and a similar period of time for the girls students—has face reactions by the students and citizens.
Some students said that the new plan will cause trouble for them students in securing university credits.
The Ministry of Higher Education on Saturday announced it has allotted three days of the week for girls and three days of the week for boys students.
The students said that they are unable to study eight educational credits in one day.
“We used to study three credits in one day but now we must study six credits. To study six credits in one day—it needs more study—which is out of the capacity of a student,” said Mohammad Rameen, a student.
There are some students who are facing work and economic challenge due to the new timetable.
“The condition is different. A student must work to earn money and study at the same time. As the timetable is now from morning to evening, so we are facing some challenges,” said Mohammad Mansour, a student.
This comes as more than 200 university instructors have reportedly left the country following the collapse of the former government.
