The business community said that a delegation from Pakistan is expected to visit Kabul Sunday to discuss the import of coal with Afghan officials.
Due to the rise in coal prices on international markets, the Afghan Ministry of Finance earlier has increased the price of coal from $90 per ton to $200 per ton, and with increased new tariffs; importers will need to pay $280.
Figures by the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment show that at least 10,000 tons of coal is sent to Pakistan daily.
