Kabul: Local Taliban officials say that three people were killed and two others were injured after an explosion occurred in the house of a former soldier in Zhirai district of Kandahar province.
Ata Mohammad,Taliban police commander for Zhirai district, says that the explosion occurred at around 12:00 AM today.
According to him, the explosion occurred in the house of Mahmoud, the former commander of the army brigade in Zhirai, and as a result, his two sons and one daughter were killed.
Atta Mohammad said that explosion occurred when they wanted to rebuild their house.
Mahmoud’s wife and brother were injured in this explosion.
In another event local sources say that during the house-to-house search operation in Helmand province, two women were killed and three others were wounded.
The incident happened yesterday during house inspection operations in the vicinity of Bost Castle in Lashkargah city, when a vehicle did not observe the security warning and as a result, the security forces opened fire.
All the victims of this incident saying to be the passengers of that vehicle.
According to local sources, after this incident, the people of the place brought the bodies in protest to the Helmand province authorities and demanded justice.
