Kabul: Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, in a meeting with Thomas West, the US Special Representative for Afghanistan Affairs, emphasized the continuation of international interaction with the Taliban interim government, stated that his country will expand efforts to facilitate the creation of a regional consensus on Afghanistan through the Troika mechanism.
According to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had a conversation with Thomas West in New York.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan has emphasized the importance of continued international interaction with the Islamic Emirate for lasting peace and stability in Afghanistan and beyond.
And it is said that his country will expand the facilitation efforts to create a regional consensus about Afghanistan through the Troika mechanism.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan has said that Thomas West, the US special representative for Afghanistan, has appreciated Pakistan’s efforts for peace and stability in Afghanistan and facilitating the evacuation process from Afghanistan.
The two sides have acknowledged the need for continued cooperation on common goals, continuous efforts and cooperation of the international community to “reduce the pain and suffering of the people of Afghanistan and promote regional peace and stability”.
