Kabul: The celebration of Halloween in South Korea left nearly 300 people dead and injured due to crowding and trampling.
The Reuters reported on Saturday night, that 153 people were killed and 150 others were injured during this year’s Halloween festival in South Korea.
So far, the main cause of the event on Halloween has not been determined.
Choi Song-Beom, the head of the Seoul Fire Department, the capital of South Korea, said that the number of victims is likely to increase, because the condition of some of the wounded is serious.
Mr. Song Beom said that most of the victims are young people in their 20s and are currently being sent to hospitals and gyms to be identified by their relatives.
US President Joe Biden and British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak called this event sad and expressed their sympathies with the people of South Korea.
Halloween is one of the festivals of the people of South Korea, which was banned in recent years due to COVID restrictions.
