Kabul: The mission office of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has reopened in Afghanistan on Saturday in a ceremony attended by acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Amir Khan Muttaqi, and Kabul-based diplomats from several countries including Saudi Arabia, Indonesia and Pakistan.
Muttaqi welcomed the reopening of the OIC’s mission office and pledged support and assistance of the Afghan caretaker government in facilitating the functioning of the OIC mission in Afghanistan.
In this ceremony Muhammad Saeed Al-Ayash, the OIC representative for Afghanistan said that Saudi Arabia has pledged to financially sponsor the Afghanistan bureau office for the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
Tariq Ali Bakheet, OIC’s secretary general representative said that the office will help Afghanistan with the security, humanitarian and political assistance.
