Kabul: Three security personnel, including the police chief for northern Badakhshan province, were killed and two others wounded as a result of an explosion, officials said.
The blast took place early on Monday next to the provincial police headquarters, the interior ministry official said, adding that an investigation had been initiated to determine the nature of the blast and possible casualties.
This is the second blast in the Afghanistan since Sunday. A blast hit Police District 6 of Kabul city on Sunday evening with no casualties reported.
