Kabul: Mohammad Sadiq, Pakistan’s special representative for Afghanistan affairs, said that Zamir Kabulov, Russia’s special representative for Afghanistan has visited Islamabad and the two sides discussed the bilateral cooperation and developments in Afghanistan.
Mr. Sadiq added that the recent developments in the region and closer cooperation between Moscow and Islamabad for a better future were discussed during the meeting. He praised Kabulov’s insight and clear vision and described him as a remarkably well-informed diplomat.
Prior to visiting Pakistan, Zamir Kabulov had traveled to Afghanistan and met with the high-ranking Afghan authorities.
Meanwhile, Iranian foreign minister Hossein Amir Abdullahian, held meeting with Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, and said that Afghanistan is a common concern of Iran and Pakistan.
This meeting was held yesterday (Tuesday, January 24) on the sidelines of the ECO Council of Ministers meeting in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan.
