Kabul: According to “Radio Pakistan” news site, “General Asim Munir”, the commander of the Pakistani army, visited Durand line in the “South Waziristan” region, bordering with Afghanistan.
General Asim Munir, the Pakistan Army chief, while visiting South Waziristan emphasized the determination of their armed forces in fighting terrorism and eradicating this problem.
He added that the fight of Pakistani forces against terrorism will lead to the establishment of complete security and stability in the region.
General Asim Munir emphasized that the completion of socio-economic development plans and the progress of the region depends on sustainable stability and the fight against the threat of terrorism.
Since Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) withdrew from the ceasefire agreement with the government of Islamabad in November last year, South Waziristan is considered one of the insecure areas for the Pakistani military.
