Kabul: The Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement that Washington is silent in response to the problems of Afghan children taken to the United States.

According to this statement, among the children transferred from Afghanistan to US, 234 children were separated from their parents and 42 children were placed in foster families without their consent

The statement adds that out of a total of 82,000 evacuated Afghans, only 4,500 have been granted refugee status in the United States, and the rest of the evacuees, based on the recent decision of the Congress, only have the right to stay in the United States for two years, which will end in six months.

The Russian Foreign Ministry also called the US government’s policy towards Afghanistan, like sanctions, blocking national reserves, threatening to cut off international humanitarian aid, demanding strict respect for human rights according to the Western model, a clear blackmail of current Afghan rulers.
