Kabul Municipality announces ambitious plans for the current solar year, with 165 projects totaling 6.4 billion Afghanis earmarked for roads, canals, and green spaces. Nematullah Barakzai highlights ongoing road reconstruction efforts, emphasizing the diverse scope of projects.
The completion of several road projects, including the ongoing construction of the second part of Kotel Road, the Qasaba to Charahi Shahid Road, Badam Bagh Road, Qala-e-Shanan to Qala-e-Zaman Khan Road, the expansion of Dehmazang to Kote Sangi Road, Dogh Abad – Gul Bagh Road, and Charahi Maidan to Gumruk Road, is anticipated by the conclusion of the solar year 1403.
While residents of the capital embrace the ongoing road reconstruction and development in Kabul, some shopkeepers affected by the demolition of their shops due to road expansion are urging the authorities to provide alternative suitable locations. Additionally, the Kabul Municipality had earlier announced the initiation of six significant road construction projects in Kabul, collectively valued at nearly one billion Afghanis.
