Kabul: The Afghan administration top leader on Saturday called on Muslim countries to mobilize their resources in support of the Palestinian people.
Mawlawi Hibatullah Akhundzada, the top leader of the Afghan administration, expressed solidarity with Gaza against Israeli aggression. On the occasion of the Muslim Eid al-Fitr holiday, he emphasized the Islamic Ummah’s duty to support oppressed Palestinians and condemn any injustice by Israeli invaders.
Akhundzada called for mobilizing resources to alleviate Palestinian suffering and criticized the role of Western countries in the conflict. He highlighted the need for concrete actions to address the injustices faced by Palestinians and urged all responsible parties to fulfill their obligations.
Despite an International Court of Justice provisional ruling, Israel persists in its assault on the Gaza Strip. Palestinian health authorities report that in the past six months alone, over 33,000 Palestinians, predominantly women and children, have been killed, with nearly 76,000 others injured.
The Israeli war on Gaza has pushed 85% of the territory’s population into internal displacement amid acute shortages of food, clean water, and medicine, while 60% of the enclave’s infrastructure has been damaged or destroyed, according to the UN.
