AT-KABUL: Afghan National Army (ANA) commandos arrested 300 suspected militants in an operation in eastern Laghman province, a local official said.
Sarhadi Zwak, spokesman for Laghman governor office, said that army commandos conducted the crackdown on militants in Mia Saib and Murchakhel villages of Alishang district of the province on Tuesday morning.
A press statement issued by the provincial governor office said that security forces killed three Taliban militants in the operation and held some 300 suspected militants.
Fazlullah Mujadedi, the governor of Laghman province, has asked security forces in Alishang district to use greater caution in their operation to prevent from civilian casualties.
